What Are Peptides?
An intro to peptide chemistry & research.
How to design clean, reproducible peptide research workflows — from baseline data to documentation.
Start with a single, testable hypothesis. Vague goals produce vague data.
Collect baseline measurements before introducing any compound. Without a baseline, downstream changes are uninterpretable.
Lab notebooks (paper or digital) should capture batch numbers, reconstitution diluent, temperature, dose, time, and observations. Every entry should be reproducible by another researcher.
Always cross-check supplier COAs against independent HPLC reports when possible. Variation in purity is the most common source of inconsistent results.
Null and negative results matter. Document what didn't work — it saves the next researcher weeks of wasted time.
